The final round of the league was a highly entertaining and an intense game between two teams fighting for a place in the Division 1 semi-final. St Fechins ladies got off to a slow start, St. Mochtas hit 1-1 in the opening minutes with home advantage. Sara Moore took the initiative for St Fechins and broke through the Mochtas defencive line, winning a free. Rachel Kinch converted for the visitors first score. St Fechins settled and with the momentum behind them, scored a goal through Louise McCullough and five consecutive points from Hazel Haughney, Catherine McGlew and Rachel Kinch. St Mochtas slowly regained control but Caoimhe McQuillan made two point blank saves to make sure the Fechins were on top going at half time with the score St Fechins 1-6 and St Mochtas 1-4.

St Fechins started the second half with a two point lead, which was quickly reversed when the home side hit the back of the net early on. St Fechins immediately responded with 2 points from Sara Moore who gave a dominant performance in midfield, but the Mochtas were never far behind. They kicked three unanswered points to put the game back on level terms with five minutes to go. Two goals from Rebecca Howell sealed the win for St Fechins. The first was a penalty, given after CĂ©ire Nolan was hauled down after a sixty metre run, and the second from play. The Fechins defence stood strong in the final moments to maintain their lead and secure St Fechins ladies a place in the semi-final, an impressive feat after being promoted last year.
